This Privacy Policy explains how IVF World (“IVF World”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our website, patient portal, and related services (together, the “Platform”). IVF World is a medical-tourism facilitator that helps international patients access fertility care in India; we are not a clinic or a medical provider. Because our service involves health information, we treat your privacy with particular care.

Information we collect

• Identity and contact details — your name, your partner’s name where you provide it, email address, phone number, country, and preferred language.
• Health and medical information — the answers you give in our onboarding questionnaire (for example age, medical history, and treatment goals), documents you upload, and information shared during consultations. This is special-category (sensitive) data and we only process it with your explicit consent.
• Documents — medical records, reports, and identity or travel documents you upload, stored in private cloud storage and accessible only through short-lived, signed links.
• Consultation and telemedicine data — appointment details and video-consultation metadata. Sessions are only recorded where you have given separate recording consent.
• Payment information — we take payments through our payment processor, Razorpay. We receive confirmation and limited transaction details; we do not store your full card number.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• create and manage your account and provide the Platform;
• match you with suitable clinics and specialists and coordinate your care through your assigned Relationship Manager;
• arrange consultations, treatment packages, travel, and logistics;
• process payments and send transactional emails and notifications;
• respond to your enquiries and provide support;
• improve, secure, and maintain the Platform;
• comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

Our legal bases

Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (for health data and for optional analytics cookies), performance of a contract (to deliver the services you request), our legitimate interests (to run and secure the Platform, where not overridden by your rights), and legal obligation (where the law requires us to keep or disclose information). You can withdraw consent at any time, as described below.

Who we share your information with

• Your assigned clinic and specialists, so they can assess and plan your treatment.
• Your Relationship Manager and our coordination team, who manage your journey.
• Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — for example Amazon Web Services (secure database, document storage, sign-in, and email), Razorpay (payments), Daily.co (video consultations), Sanity (content), and Google (website analytics).
• Authorities or advisers where we are required to by law or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal information.

International data transfers

IVF World operates from India and our providers may process data in India, the United States, and elsewhere. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected, including using providers that offer appropriate safeguards and contractual protections.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the services, and afterwards only as required to meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations or to resolve disputes. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

How we protect your information

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Documents are held in private storage reachable only through expiring signed links, access to the Platform is authenticated, and we apply access controls so that staff only see the information they need. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, restrict or object to certain processing, receive your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent (including consent to process your health data) without affecting processing already carried out. Children

The Platform is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date shown on this page and, where appropriate, notify you.
