IVF Procedure chosen to avoid Chromosomal Abnormalities

DOWN SYNDROME AND CHROMOSOMAL ABNORMALITIES

Couple from bangladesh , with history of a down syndrome child and mutiple abortions due to risk of fetal abnormalities and high NT (in the last three pregnancies conceived naturally ) for defined period at scan .( chromosomal abnormalities and genetic mutation of cells leads to such abnormalities.)

  • No difficulty in conceiving
  • Egg releasing at every cycle ( 28to 30 days cycle)
  • No male infertility
  • Blood works and hormonal profile normal
  • No co morbidities

Due to advance technology in IVF procedure such as PGT (pre implantation genetic screening of embryos) to rule out chromosomal abnormalities and other risk factors , patient opted for IVF for which they reached out to us @IVF - WORLD . We referred them to our best clinics (selection based on high success rates according to data collected on a monthly audit basis ) the clinics that we refer our patients to have the most advanced labs (ISO 5 CERTIFIED) and highly experienced embryologists so that only the best grade embryos could be chosen and transferred to minimise the risk .

After the process of fertilisation , two best grade embryos were selected taken to day 5 blastocyst transfers. Both the embryos got implanted in the uterus and the patient tested positive with both fetuses having healthy fetal heartbeat at 7 weeks scan.

The couple decided to stay back in INDIA for longer for the NT SCAN and NIPT SCREENING . Both the results were within desired range and the couple had a healthy twin pregnancy , both fetuses growing well in the uterus . Post this the couple flew back to bangladesh , meanwhile all follow ups were done by us and their pregnancy journey was guided at every stage by our counsellors and doctors in INDIA.
